John Hall


Drums
Blue Waves drummer, John Hall, has been playin gdrums for 25 years. Prior to his recent move to Colorado springs, john lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. In California Hohn had performed with blues greats such as guitarist Huber Sumlin (Howlin Wolf) and Sonny Rhodes (Alligator Recording Artist). John enjoyed playing with local favorites such as rich Kirch (John Lee Hooker), Ron Thompson (Mick Fleetwood Blues Trio), Jimmy Pugh (Robert Cray/Tommy Castro), blues singer Country Pete McGill, and Johnny Harper’s Carnival (New Orleans Funk).  John also kept a busy schedule on the California and Nevada casino, festival, and fairs circuit as the drummer/musical director for singer Dave Russell (Contemporary Country).

Bass:

Tony Wall’s Bio 

                        Tony Wall has been performing in the Springs since 1992.  He has been on bass with “Johnny Graves and the Blue Waves” since late 2001. 

                        Tony started playing music since elementary school in Buffalo, New York on woodwinds, and then playing bass guitar in high school.  Still around Upstate New York in high school musicals and rock band “Titan”.  Tony played on into college attending the University of Buffalo in the new wave music scene with his original band “Eddie Haskell”.  A few of Tony’s friends from these bands live in the Springs.  In Buffalo Tony frequently hobnobbed with bands like the “10000 Maniacs”,”Talas” featuring Billy Sheehan, “The Jumpers”,”Electroman and “Mercury Rev”. 

                        Tony moved to Denver in 1986 due to an addiction to skiing.  Tony played the local Denver circuit in the “Electroids”with “Rockin Rudolf’s” Bill Murray.  Then Tony moved on to St Louis, MO with his job in 1989 to play a few local projects there. 

                        Tony came back to Colorado Springs in 1992 and worked with Tony Korte’s (Sunshine Studios) cover projects; “Random Spex”,”Blackout”, and now “Life Transposed”. 

                        Tony also recently toured with and supported friend Matt Martinez’s band “The Nocturnal Tomatoes” while working with Johnny Graves.
